in this workshop, students will explore techniques of glazing, layering, and adding collage elements, as well as paint, to build surface textures. interesting and dramatic effects can be achieved. emphasis will be on experimentation and design.
patty picco holds a B.F.A. in painting from CSU San Jose. she also studied printmaking for two years at SF City College. she has had over twenty-five years of experience teaching art, before she and her husband moved to the island, she taught at the boca raton museum of art school in florida. before that she taught classes in napa, california.
patty encourages experimentation and creativity in her students along with developing necessary skills. she feels it is important to pay special attention to each student’s ability, which will help them develop their own personal style.
